Martin Saewe appointed Vice President Rubber Technology in Rhein Chemie’s Rubber Division

Effective August 1, 2008, Dr. Martin Saewe took over the position of global head of the Rubber Technology department in Rhein Chemie’s Rubber Division.
“We want to provide solutions that make significant contributions to cost savings and to attain and maintain a high quality level”, said Saewe when asked for his personal blueprint for the rubber technology group of the Rubber division. “We are working on several innovative solutions to cope with challenges in rubber processing which have yet not been tackled.” Current projects are focusing on
- the elimination of critical toxic substances
- innovative mixing solutions
- new product applications
Martin Saewe graduated with studies at the Leibniz University, Hannover in polymer chemistry and postgraduate work at the German Rubber Institute (DIK), finishing with a PhD. He started working for Rhein Chemie in 2002 in the applications development department. Taking over responsibility for several key accounts was followed by a position in marketing and sales for the EMEA region.
