Hoses

Rhein Chemie offers manufacturers of rubber hoses and tubes a wide range of high-quality additives for processing, cross-linking, stabilizing and protecting compounds and finished products. Our modern world is inconceivable without hoses and tubes to transport all kinds of media such as gases, liquids and solids, to transfer energy and to control functions. Depending on the requirements relating to the properties of the end product, such as media and weather resistance, static and dynamic strength etc., different materials such as natural and synthetic rubber compounds are used. Rhein Chemie offers a range of customized additives for the manufacture of these products and their varied applications. .... Mehr anzeigen Weniger anzeigen

ETU-free cross-linking of polychloroprene (CR) can be achieved using Rhenogran® MTT-80, Rhenogran® TDD-70 and Rhenogran® HPCA-50 (activator). Rhenofit® NC. This produces vulcanizates with enhanced resistance to hardening by ageing. For other chlorinated rubbers (CSM, CM) Rhein Chemie has also developed special curing systems using Rhenogran® TDD-70 and Rhenogran® HPCA-50. A lead-free/ETU-free vulcanization system for epichlorohydrin rubber (ECO, CO) with improved processing reliability is also available. This system uses Rhenogran® Triazine TM-70/AEMD, Rhenogran® HPCA-50, Rhenocure® ZDT/S and Rhenogran® Retarder E-80. Alternative lead-free systems include products such as Rhenogran® Na2CO3-70/CO. For weather-resistant ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM), Rhein Chemie offers a range of sulfur cross-linking additives for nitrosamine-free curing, such as dithiophosphates (e.g. Rhenogran® SDT-50) or Rhenogran® CLD-80, as a replacement for morpholine disulfide. The Rhein Chemie portfolio also includes the well established Rhenofit® range of co-agents for peroxide cross-linking of ethylene-propylene rubbers (EPDM and EPM). The acrylate rubbers ACM and AEM can be vulcanized using a special cross-linking system based on Rhenogran® HMDC-70. The much debated DOTG can be replaced by Rhenogran® XLA-60 (GE 2014). Rhenogran® ZDDT-50 (GE 1864) acts as a scorch retarder and facilitates processing of the often tacky/sticky compounds together with the processing promoter Aflux 18. There is also a cross-linking system for ACM based on Rhenogran® Diuron-80 and Rhenogran® NAST-50. The vulcanization of particularly oil- and temperature-resistant fluorocarbon elastomers can be activated using products such as Rhenofit® D/A and Rhenofit® CF. For the above-mentioned polymers and other elastomers used, Rhein Chemie also offers further standard and special additives to improve processing and properties as required. Fibers and fabrics are often used to reinforce hoses. The predispersed aramid short fibers Rhenogran® AFP-40/EPDM and Rhenogran® P91-40/EPDM are two additives with extremely good reinforcing properties. Unlike fillers they multiply the modulus already at small elongation values and increase the tear resistance. The prereacted resorcinol Rhenosin® T and the dimeric isocyanate Rhenocure® TT can be used to improve bonding between the fabric and the rubber compound. The molding vulcanization of elbow hoses still requires strength-sapping manual work. The hose release agents in the Rhenodiv® range make it easier to slide on the hose blanks and remove the vulcanized elbow hoses from the mandrel.
