New President and General Manager for Rhein Chemie Corporation

Monday, 10. October 2011 Dr. Boudewijn Van Lent named President of Rhein Chemie Corporation.

Rhein Chemie Corporation, a leading supplier of additives, specialty chemicals and service products for the rubber, lubricant and plastics industries, announced that Dr. Boudewijn Van Lent has been named President and General Manager.

Dr. Van Lent will be responsible for the strategic direction and profitable growth of the Rhein Chemie North American operations and administration offices located at Chardon, Ohio. “Boudewijn brings impressive credentials and the strong global industry track record we sought in a leader to help further our position in NAFTA,” said Dr. Anno Borkowsky, president and CEO of Rhein Chemie Rheinau GmbH.  “He will be instrumental in leading our domestic and international expansion and sales efforts, as well as strategic initiatives.”

Before joining Rhein Chemie, Dr. Van Lent led the Chemical Sector for Celerant Consulting, a consulting company which is focused on operational strategy and implementation. Previously at LANXESS Corporation, he was Vice President technical Rubber Products NAFTA. He built an extensive sales and technical background during his career at Bayer in Germany, Canada and the US, focusing on the areas of sales and technical management, global contract sourcing and negotiations, and product and process development.  His professional accomplishments include successful business turnarounds and growth. He holds a Masters degree in Molecular Science and Doctorate in Physical and Colloid Science from the University of Wageningen, The Netherlands.
